Anyone who went to see the film – ‘Field of Dreams’ will remember the Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella who tells of hearing a voice in his corn field that tells him, “If you build it, they will come.” He interprets this message as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm” and in the thoroughly enjoyable film we were all encourage to follow our dreams.

So much for the world of films. But now, life has imitated film here in Ballincollig as ‘The Gunners’ develop their own new soccer field at Castle Hill and prepare to move there in January 2010.
